Reddit AI Comment Generator (“the Extension”) helps you draft Reddit comments. To do that it
reads the Reddit post you are viewing and sends it to our backend, which uses a third-party AI
model to generate comment suggestions. If you sign in, we store your account and subscription
details to manage your plan and daily usage. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
1. Account information (when you sign in with Google)
Email address, name, and profile picture, provided by Google via OAuth (scopes
openid, email, profile).
Stored on our backend to identify your account and manage your subscription.
2. Reddit post content (when you click “Generate”)
The title, subreddit, post body, and up to the top 3 comments of the Reddit post you are
actively viewing.
Sent to our backend and forwarded to our AI provider to produce suggestions.
We do not store this content on our servers. It is processed to generate
your comments and not retained in our database.
3. Subscription & usage data
Your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan, and status.
A per-day count of how many generations you have used (to enforce daily limits).
We do not receive or store your full payment card details — those go
directly to Stripe.
4. Data stored locally in your browser
Your session token, account profile, and generation history are kept in
chrome.storage.local on your device.
This is removed when you sign out or remove the Extension.
What we do NOT collect
We do not track your general browsing history. The content script runs only on Reddit post
pages (https://www.reddit.com/r/*/comments/*).
We do not collect your payment card numbers.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

International data transfers
To generate suggestions, the Reddit post content you submit is sent to our AI provider,
DeepSeek, whose servers may be located outside your country, including in China. Data protection
laws there may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Generate feature you consent
to this transfer. We only transmit the post content needed to produce your drafts, and it is not
retained after processing.
Why we can access what we access (permissions)
Sign in with Google (identity) — to let you log into your account.
Storage (storage) — to keep your session and generation history on your device.
Reddit page access (activeTab, scripting, host reddit.com) — to read the post you’re viewing so we can generate relevant comments and insert a chosen draft.
Open new tabs (tabs) — to open Stripe Checkout and the billing portal.
Our API — to send generation requests and manage your account.
Data retention
Account, subscription, and usage records are kept while your account is active and for up to
90 days after you request deletion or stop using the service, unless a longer period is
required by law.
Reddit post content is not retained after your request is processed.
Your rights & how to delete your data
You can sign out at any time to clear locally stored data.
To access or delete account data held on our backend, email
microtoolslabs@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA),
you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to
or restrict certain processing. Email us to exercise these rights. We do not sell your personal
data and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children
The Extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their
personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact
microtoolslabs@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated”
date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the Extension.
